Technology Update

As an IT technician at a well known University, I obviously have a good understanding of the importance of online backup. It’s great, because if anything goes down, you always have a fall back. Can you imagine the uproar if we lost some of the data that we carry about our students? Previous grades, attendance records, disciplinary records, and issues of hardship. If any of this disappeared, my job would be gone.

I wasn’t happy with our current providers of online backup so I decided to take it upon myself to try and find a better company. As soon as started to search I was struck by how many poor set ups there were, but eventually I came across a company that seemed to be set up really well. They had a very clear pricing policy that made a great deal of sense, and they seemed to be trying that bit harder than everybody else. They actually offered a free online backup plugin which was meant for WordPress, so I thought, why not give it a go? I downloaded the plugin and was really pleased to see how easily it could be installed. It had clearly been designed by professionals at the top of their industry and it just gave me so much confidence in them as a company as a whole. I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and employ them on a permanent basis. To say that we haven’t looked back is an understatement. They have been simply brilliant. Any query or slight problem and they do something about it straight away. They are a great support team for anybody.
