Installation
Please install mDictionary.prc
and at least one dictionary library (for example, EnglishDictSmall1.pdb)
into your Palm.
Warning: it may take very long time
to sync a dictionary library into your Palm. Please be patient
when you sync a very large PDB file.
Note: to upgrade from version 1.0
to version 2.0 and higher, you need to delete dictionary.prc
and all of word databases you already installed.

Description
Pocket Dictionary is a dictionary
software with super word studying and memorizing tool. It
contains multiple word DBs with 20k to 130k words for you
to choose. Simple yet powerful UI helps you navigate easily,
and key word search and cross search helps you locate a word
quickly.

How to use
There are two main user interfaces, Dictionary screen
(shown as Fig. 3) and Study screen (shown as Fig. 5).
- Main
screen
Main
screen displays a list of words and content of the highlighted
word. You can scroll the word list, move back and forth among
recently used word list, search and cross-search a word, change
fonts and word content view.

- Study
screen
You can organize certain words
into a category in Main screen (Fig. 3) and then using Study
screen to study/memorise these words you selected. You can
change display fonts, show/hide word's meaning, change word's
category and even draw a word on the screen to help you to
memorise the words (see Fig. 5).Note:
this screen will not be available when database is stored
in external card.

Registration
You can use Pocket Dictionary
for 15 days without registering it. After 15-day free trial,
Pocket Dictionary will be locked and you need a registration
code to unlock it. To purchase Pocket Dictionary, please visit
www.antstech.com/Purchase.htm.
After you purchase the software, please send the user ID of
Pocket Dictionary to
antstech@yahoo.com, we will send a registration code to
you within two business days (we respond our customers within
24 hours most of time). Once you receive the registration
code, please select "About PocketDictionary" from "Option"
menu to open About screen (see Fig. 6), and then tap on Register
screen (see Fig. 7) to register you software.

Note: due
to SPAM and other problems, emails may not be able to reach
you or us. If you did not get response from us within two
business days after you contact us, please try to send email
to us again or contact the company (Palmgear or Handango or
PDAssi) where you purchased Pocket Dictionary for help.

Word Libraries
Word lists in our word DBs
are based on the "12dicts" compiled by Alan Beale (see www.antstech.com/PocketDictionary/12dicts.htm
for detail) and word content comes from WordNet library. We
created multiple word DBs and you can choose the one which
satisfies your needs:
- EnglishDictSmall1.pdb(download):
based on "3esl" from "12dicts". It contains 19685 words
with 1.9MB.
- EnglishDictSmall2.pdb(download):
based on "6of12" from "12dicts". It contains 28691 words
with 2.7MB.
- EnglishDictMedium.pdb(download):
based on "5desk" from "12dicts". It contains 44486 words
with 3.79MB.
- EnglishDictLarge.pdb (download):
contains about 130K words with about 12MB.
EnglishDictSmall1.pdb is included
in the package you downloaded. To download other word DBs,
please visit our website at www.antstech.com.
